CASH organised the “Organic Farm Excursion” on 31 January 2010 for some 70 members and families of the Intellectually Disabled Education and Advocacy League (IDEAL). The participants from IDEAL were accompanied by 30 CASH volunteer team members and staff to enjoy a day tour in the New Life Interactive Farm at Tuen Mun.

Led by the tour guides of the farm, the participants joined various activities including an eco-tour, organic farming, planting with hand-made flowerpot, and environmentally friendly photo frame making. Through these activities, the participants not only enhanced their understanding of ecological environment, but also gained more knowledge on environmentally friendly living style. Moreover, the participants could experience healthy living style by having the special organic lunch and harvesting organic vegetables.
