The Society representatives travelled to Manila, Philippines, in April to attend the ‘Asia-Pacific Committee Meeting’ organised by the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) and to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP). The meeting brought together over 50 representatives from more than 20 regions to report on the licensing and distribution of music copyright in the Asia Pacific region, and explore the impact of AI technology development on music creation, registration, and copyright distribution.
